Self tanning. (Dark result)

I prefer my tan as dark as possible!

First I use Make Believe Self Tan Mousse. I apply with the re usable gloves you get with Fake Bake (the purple medical loooking ones) as they give the best result.
NEVER apply non wash off tan with a mitt as this wastes so much product! And for the price of self tan, you don't want to waste a drop!
The most important thing to remember is never apply in strokes, always a circular movement as this will reduce streaks :)
I start from my calves and work my way up, both of these can be used on the face but with extreme care!
Take extra care on dry spots like ankles, knees, elbows and wrists. But having used a thick moisturiser before hand nothing should go wrong there!
After the mousses I use Fake Bake Original Lotion. (Always remember gloves!!!) If you're a beginner or are pale I suggest you try Fake Bake Golden Lotion first as it's lighter and harder to make mistakes with.
Again start at your calves and work your way up. Using lotion from your calves rub it downwards on to your feet.
I suggest you have a friend to help with your back (I use my boyfriend). You can buy this mitt on a stick thing from Boots but they are absolutely useless and being a mitt, you'll loose out on product.
As for face, always try to use a tanner designed specifically for the face, if not then mix a touch of lotion with your regular moisturiser to improvise!
I would use this technique for the back of your hands too, if you do have a face tanner then use that!
Save on dirty wrists and fingers :)

Also never apply self tan to your armpits. I saw this once. It wasn't pretty and I don't know what possessed her to do it!!!
